Tom Wolf is an advocate for homeless policy reform throughout the United States. In 2018, while recovering from surgery, Tom began consuming large amounts of Oxycodone and developed an addiction to drugs. His addiction led him to depart from his family and live on the streets of San Francisco for a period of six months. In our conversation, Tom discusses his personal story on how he moved from being a family man raising two children and having a steady job to living in the Tenderloin neighborhood holding drugs for dealers. In our conversation, we explore the current policies in place namely Housing First and Harm Reduction, the role of law enforcement and social justice reforms, and the financial incentives structured around this issue.
